CAMBRIDGE - Charlene J. Cowie, 53, died July 13, 2009 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa. . Memorial Services will be at 2:00 PM, July 25th at the Maranatha Open Bible Church in Des Moines. Charlene was born July 15, 1955, at Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of William Henry and Helen (Evans) Cooper. She graduated with from East High with the Class of '73. She was united in marriage to Jack Cowie in 1976. He preceded her in death in 1994. She worked as a Nurse's Aide, and was a bus drive for West Des Moines/Johnston School Districts, retiring due to ill health. Survivors include a son: Robert Cooper; a brother: John "Jack" R. Cooper of Des Moines, Iowa; good friends: Jeane Popejoy of Cambridge, Iowa; Carolyn & Ronnie McDonald of Des Moines; Michelle Baskin of Sturgis, South Dakota. Charlene was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jack.
