Obituary

Cheryl Ann Swalwell Page passed away February 17, 2018 at Israel Hospice House in Ames at the age of 74. Cheryl was born February 15, 1944, on the farm NE of Maxwell, the daughter of Dudley and Colleen (Patterson) Swalwell. She graduated from Maxwell High School in 1962 and AIB in 1963. On May 17, 1964 she married Jack Leland Page at the Peoria U.M.C. Together they raised two sons, David and Doug. Cheryl was in Boys 4-H from the age of ten. She loved animals and helped organize the Story County Llama Club. She taught the youth of Story County the art of showmanship and maintained a herd of llamas for them to show at various local events. Cheryl was also active in the Maxwell School Reunion and kept the database until the time of her death. Cheryl is survived by her husband Jack of Maxwell; sons David (Ronda) of Maxwell and Douglas (Lornah) of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren Austin, Lucas and Lindsey Page of Maxwell and Mark, Angel, Andrian and Arlene Page of Las Vegas; sister Georgia (Ben) Carver of Ames; her mother Colleen Swalwell of Maxwell and a host of cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Dudley Swalwell. In following Cheryl's wishes, no services will be held. Memorials may be directed to the Maxwell First Responders. Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home of Maxwell has been entrusted with final arrangements.
