Connie (Thomas) Enfield, 54, of Collins, died peacefully at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Friday, September 1, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Connie was born December 2, 1951 in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of Garth and Betty (Cranberry) Thomas. She was united in marriage to Craig Enfield July 5, 2002 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Connie worked for Carquest in Ankeny as a Customer Service Representative. She had a love for nature and had a special love for horses.
Connie is survived by her husband, Craig of Collins; a son: Jeremy (Lisa) Brown of Hebron, Kentucky; two step-daughters: Melanie (Kyle) Trusty of Bondurant, Iowa; Jamie Enfield of Collins, Iowa; a granddaughter: Lindsay Brown; her parents: Garth and Betty Thomas of Ankeny, Iowa; a brother: Mark (Belinda) Thomas of Norwalk, Iowa; and her mother-in-law: Betty Enfield of Maxwell, Iowa.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, September 4th at the Collins United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Brethren Cemetery near Maxwell.
Visitation with the family will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday at the Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice in Johnston, the Animal Rescue League, or to the Collins United Methodist Church.
