Dale Arthur Kutzner, 72, of Nevada, Iowa, died Monday, October 4, 2010 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa.
Dale was born April 11, 1938 at Memphis, Missouri, the son of Mack and Pauline (Roebuck) Kutzner. He graduated from High School in Memphis, Missouri, State Teachers College, and earned his Master's in Business at New York University. Dale was united in marriage to Betty (Johannsen) Cox on October 29, 1998 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dale worked for J.C. Penny's for 35 years where he managed several stores, he had owned and operated the Ben Franklin Store in Storm Lake for many years, and recently was working with the First Cooperative Association in Alta, Iowa. Dale attended the Summit Evangelical Church in Alta. Dale loved his grandchildren and enjoyed building and remodeling houses.
Dale is survived by his wife, Betty, of Nevada, Iowa; a son: James (Alma) Kutzner of Melbourne, Florida; a step-son: Travis (Chrissa) Cox of Fairfield, Iowa; a daughter: Catherine (Doug) Otto of Bruning, Nebraska; a step-daughter: Amanda (James) Cowell of West Des Moines, Iowa; six grandchildren: Spenser, Kelsey, Jayden, Sean, Lilly, Cora; two sisters: Sarah (David) Meyers of Memphis, Missouri, Kay (Wayne) Blakeley of Memphis Missouri; and a sister-in-law: Pam Kutzner of Ozark, Missouri.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David.
