Duane Edward "Ed" Kamp, 65, of Nevada, Iowa, died Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa.
Services will be at 1:30 PM Wednesday, October 21st at the Christian Church in Maxwell, Iowa. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 PM Tuesday. October 20th at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Burial will be in the Cambridge Cemetery with military honors.
Ed was born April 7, 1944 at Postville, Iowa the son of Duane William and Eunice (Kugel) Kamp. He graduated from High School in 1962 and earned his degree from ISU. He served with the US Air Force during the early Vietnam era. Ed was united in marriage to Wanda Meyer. He was a commercial electrician.
Ed "just had a good attitude" and was full of energy and ideas. He believed everything had value.
Survivors include his wife Wanda of Shipley, Iowa; three sons: Michael (Jean) Kamp of Cambridge, Iowa; Donald (Jennifer) Kamp of Chula, Missouri; John (Sandra) Kamp of Cambridge, Iowa; one daughter: Cindy (Kim) Gorden of Shipley, Iowa; ten grandchildren; three brothers: Tom Kamp of Knoxville, Iowa; Daryl Kamp of Epworth, Iowa; Randy Kamp of Mitchell, Iowa; one sister: Janice Pearson of Knoxville, Iowa.
Memorials may be given to Israel Hospice House and Maxwell Christian Church.
