Gary Allen Johnson, 67, of Ames, Iowa, passed away November 5, 2015 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. Gary was born January 16, 1948 in Cambridge Iowa, the son of Harry L, Johnson and June M. (Wineinger) Johnson. Gary is survived by his wife, Martha Berger; his companion, Cheryl Swet; two daughters: Traci (Niederjohn) (David) Bailey, Cary Ann Johnson; two step-daughters: Michelle and Darlene; two sons: Jeff Johnson, Floyd Johnson; five step-sons: Ryan Birmingham, Mike Birmingham, Joe Birmingham, Darrell, Don; two sisters: Patti Jo (Frank) Erhardt, Bev (Javier) Saldana; two brothers: Steve (Ann) Johnson, John (Linda) Wheatley; and several nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Connie Gregory Johnson; a sister: Kathy Marie Hunter; two brothers: Larry Lee Johnson and Michael Dean Johnson. Visitation will be 2 – 4 PM Wednesday, November 11, 2015, with a Memorial Service at 4 PM at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada.
