Glenda Aldrich, 56, of Huxley, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at her home in Huxley. Glenda was born October 3, 1956, to Glen and Helen (Mittlestadt) Aldrich in Des Moines. She graduated from Ballard High School in 1974, Barber School in 1975 and Grandview University in 1994. Glenda worked as a barber and did graphic design. She enjoyed being a laughter yoga instructor, art and wheat grass juicing. Glenda is survived by her daughter, Pamela Aldrich of Huxley; her brother, Kelly Aldrich of Cambridge; and her sister, Pam (Harlan) Slippy of Ankeny. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Kay Terrell; and a niece, Kristi Slippy. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2013, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013, also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Glenda.
