MADRID - Grace K. Douglass, 103, of Madrid, formerly of Maxwell died January 6, 2006, at the Madrid Home in Madrid.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM Monday at the Maxwell Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Maxwell Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 - 5:00 PM Sunday at the Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell.
Grace was born April 18, 1902 in Reynolds, Iowa, the daughter of William and Katherine (Ill) DeBord. She was united in marriage to Dudley Douglass on October 15, 1924 in Reynolds, Illinois. Dudley died in July 1980. Grace was a homemaker. She was a member of the Maxwell Presbyterian Church, the Maxwell American Legion Auxiliary, a long time member of the Maxwell Women's Club, and the Maxwell Library Board. She liked to play Bridge, read, knit, and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan.
Grace is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Anne and Willard Lundahl of Madrid, IA; 2 grandchildren: David Lindahl and his wife, Jeri, of Humeston, IA; and Julie Eybers and her husband, Lance, of Sioux City, IA; and 3 great-grandchildren: Hannah Eybers, Aaron Eybers, and Andrew and his wife, Rachel Graham.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and 2 brothers: George DeBord and Charles DeBord.
