Obituary for Jack Leland Page

Jack Leland Page, son of George and Gleda (Hawk) Page was born February 13, 1940 and passed away at Rolling Green Village in Nevada at the age of 78.

Jack graduated from Sigourney High School and worked for Big River Equipment Company in Davenport. On May 17, 1964, he married Cheryl Ann Swalwell at Peoria United Methodist Church. Together they raised two sons: David Lee and Douglas Alan. In 1968, the family moved back to Story County where Jack established Allied Lift Truck. He was a successful business man and traveled the state of Iowa buying and selling lift trucks. Jack established Che’Jak Llamas and was always willing to load up llamas along with their hay and grain and take them to a show, so the youth of Story County could show a llama. He kept a herd of llamas for them to use.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a sister, Georgia Ann Wallrich; brother-in-law, George Wallrich; a nephew, Scott Wallrich; and father-in-law, Dudley Swalwell.

Jack is survived by his sons: David (Ronda) Page of Maxwell and Douglas (Lornah) Page of Las Vegas, NV; his grandchildren: Austin, Lucas and Lindsay Page of Maxwell and Mark, Angel, Andrian and Arlene of Las Vegas, NV; his niece, Cheri (Shawn) Moran of Webster City; his nephew, Jeff Wallrich of Madrid; and his mother-in-law, Colleen Swalwell of Maxwell.

Per Jack’s wishes, he has been cremated and no services are planned.

Rasmusson Funeral Home in Maxwell is handling arrangements.
