Kathleen Marie Hillier, 69, of Ames, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at her home in Ames. Kathy was born May 26, 1943, in Minneapolis, MN, to James and Rose (Kowal) Campion. She graduated from St. Anthony of Padua High School in 1961, and then went on to St. Mary's Nursing School in Minneapolis where she received her RN. On June 27, 1964, she was united in marriage to Sidney Hillier in Minneapolis. Kathy worked for Providence Medical Center in Wayne, Nebraska and enjoyed the time she spent with her kids and grandkids. Kathy is survived by her husband, Sidney of Ames; her sons, Christopher (Holly Vierk) Hillier of Austin, TX, Andrew (LeAn) Hillier of Ames, Matthew (Anastasia) Lescewicz-Hillier of Weeping Water, NE, and Michael (Shelia) Hillier of Libertyville, IL; her mother, Rose Marie Campion of Minneapolis; her brothers, James (Patti) Campion of Houston, TX and Michael Campion of West Lafayette, IN; her sister, Anna Marie Bonham of Minneapolis; her 3 grandsons, Ian, Cole and Adam Hillier of Ames; her two granddaughters, Sophia and Stephanie Hillier of Libertyville, IL. She was preceded in death by her father; her sister, Nancy Giangrosso; and one daughter (in infancy), Christine Hillier. Memorial services will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2012, at St. John's by the Campus Episcopal Church, 2338 Lincolnway, in Ames. Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is assisting the family.
