AMES - Lewis William Marsh, 68, of Ames, died January 24, 2005 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. He was born November 10, 1936 in Collins, Iowa the son of Curtis Leroy and Alice Elizabeth (Heintz) Marsh. He was united in marriage July 12, 1969 to Loretta Easter. Lewis had worked as a peace officer for the Department of Motor Vehicles for almost 30 years before retiring. He is survived by his wife: Loretta A. Marsh of Ames, Iowa; 3 daughters and sons-in-law: Kimberly and Gail Tyer of Nevada, Iowa, Deborah and Joe Harbison of Ames, Iowa, Jane and Eddie Prescott of Saint Paul, Minnesota; 5 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; his mother, Alice Marsh of Collins, Iowa; 4 sisters and 1 brother. His father and 2 brothers preceded Lewis in Death. Funeral services will be 3:30 pm Friday at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Visitation will be at Bacon Funeral Home1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Friday.
