Mark "Max" Maxwell, 45, of Urbandale, Iowa died Thursday, September 13, 2007 at Broadlawns Hospital in Des Moines. Services will be held Sunday, September 16th at the Lakeview Park located at 7701 Aurora Avenue, Urbandale, Iowa at 2:30 PM. A Celebration of mark's life will be held at the Plaza Pub immediately following the service. Max was born September 1, 1962 at Mason City, Iowa to parents Donald & Marilyn (Hall) Maxwell. He was a cook and restaurant worker. Through his years working in Urbandale, Max acquired a vast amount of loyal and great friends who enjoyed watching his beloved Oakland Raiders with him. Max touched many lives in his own special way. The simple things in life meant the most to Max like sharing good times with friends and family, giving each a nickname while putting a smile on their face. He took pride in all that he did including serving the finest pizza to his friends at the Plaza Pub where he worked. Special recognition and thanks to John & Jackie Spellman, Laurie Astengo and family and all the close kinship of fellow restaurant and bar workers throughout the Des Moines area. Max is survived by his mother Marilyn Maxwell of Oak Dale, Minnesota; two brothers: Todd Maxwell of Des Moines, Iowa and Jeff (Marlene) Maxwell of Woodbury, Minnesota and one nephew and three nieces. His father preceded him in death. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to a favorite charity.
