Mildred E. Saathoff, 99, of Collins, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014, at Rolling Green Village in Nevada. Mildred was born October 10, 1914, to John and Lena (Segerstrom) Carlberg. She graduated from Storm Lake High School and had attended Iowa State University. Mildred was married to Allan Sathoff who passed away in 2004, and was a member of the Collins United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and was an accomplished seamstress. Mildred is survived by her son, James (Linda) Saathoff of Minneapolis, MN; her daughter, Kay (Chuck) Struthers of Collins; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers; and three sisters. Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 11, 2014, at the Collins United Methodist Church in Collins with Reverend Lewis Flanigan officiating. Inurnment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery outside Collins. Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
