NEVADA - Norman Luing, 72, of Nevada, died Sunday, June 10, 2007 at Story County Medical Center in Nevada. Norman was born June 8, 1935 at Collins, Iowa, the son of Lyle and Loda (Link) Luing. He was a lifetime self-employed trucker and retires in 1999. He is survived by 3 sons: Marlin (Carol) Luing of Bondurant, Iowa, Danny (Debbie) Luing of Sparta, Wisconsin, Eric (Julie) Luing of Melbourne, Iowa; 2 daughters: Janet (Brian) Banning of Ankeny, Iowa, Julie (Tim) Heisel of Gold Valley, Arizona; 3 sisters: Geri Littrel of Nevada, Iowa, Virginia (Clarence) Mitchell of Nevada, Iowa, Georgina (Sherman) Stole of Ostrander, Minnesota. His many grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive him. Norman was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter: Juanita Mayes; a grandson; his brother: Bill Luing; a sister: Betty Post; and a brother-in-law: Thomas Littrel. Memorial services will be 11:00 Am Wednesday at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the Memorial Service. Inurnment will be in the Collins Evergreen Cemetery in Collins, Iowa. Memorials may be made to Story County Medical Center Foundation.
