STORY CITY - Richard C. Danger, 66, of Story City, died Thursday, January 26, 2006 at the Bethany Manor in Story City.
Richard was born July 15, 1939 at Ellsworth, Iowa, the son of Clarence and Fern (Johnson) Danger. He was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Eller on September 26, 1959 at Radcliff, Iowa. He had been a draftsman for the Department of Transportation and prior to retiring, a painter with Winkler and Sons, Inc. in Ames. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Story City. Richard raised various birds, including Doves, quail, partridge, ducks, rhea, ostrich, emus, and various varieties of pheasant. He was known for the raising white tail deer.
Richard is survived by his wife, Pat, of Story City, IA; a son and daughter-in-law: Rick (Barb) Danger of Pueblo, CO; a daughter and son-in-law: Renee (Kevin) Danger-James of New York, NY; 2 grandchildren: Nikolai and McKinny Danger-James: his mother: Fern Danger of Story City, IA; a brother and sister-in-law, David (Pam) Danger of Garden City, IA; and a sister and brother-in-law: Cris (Tom) Berger of Story City, IA.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Danger; and a brother: Bill Danger.
Memorial services will be 1:30 pm Monday at Grace United Methodist Church in Story City with Pastor Brian McNamara officiating.
Visitation with the family will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm Sunday at Grace United Methodist Church.
