Adalee Rose Akers, 3 months young, passed away early Tuesday morning on March 29, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, Ia. Adalee was born December 30, 2021, in Iowa City, Ia, the daughter of Seth Michael and Katie Jo (Eastridge) Akers. She was great at sticking out her tongue and really enjoyed watching the mobile above her crib. Adalee looked beautiful in purple and would always win a staring contest. She could be sassy by showing her mean side-eye but sweet when allowing touches on her terms. She knew she was in charge and paved her own road. Adalee is survived by her parents, Seth and Katie of Collins, Ia; her paternal grandparents: Terry and Rebecca Akers of Altoona, Ia; her maternal grandparents: Mike and Jody Eastridge of Knoxville, Ia; her paternal great-grandma: Francine Emerson of Altoona, Ia; her maternal great-grandparents: Bob and Norma Black of Garwin, Ia, Don and Karen Singleton of Montezuma, Ia, Barb Jones of Eldora, Ia, Don and Norma Eastridge of Ozark, Mo, Randy and Kay Coghlan of Toddville, Ia; her maternal great-great-grandparent: Ruth Hart of Marshalltown, Ia; her paternal aunt: Rachel Akers of Altoona, Ia; her maternal aunts and uncles: Emily and Kieran Mort of Des Moines, Ia, Chad and Cherie Eastridge of Cedar Rapids, Ia, and Amanda East-Severt of Griffin, Ga; along with many other great aunts, great uncles, and relatives. She was preceded in death by her sibling; her paternal great-grandpa, Robert Emerson; her paternal great-uncle, Brett Emerson; maternal great-uncle, Rick Murphy; and her maternal great-great grandparents, Doreen Robins and Shirley Moriarty. A funeral service will be at noon on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada, Ia. Burial will follow at Collins Evergreen Cemetery in Collins, Ia. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. until the time of service.
