Adam Blaine Pettiecord, 20, died April 15, 2009, from a motorcycle crash near his home in Saylorville, Iowa. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 21st at the Presbyterian Church, 317 SE Trilein in Ankeny, with visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church Monday, April 20th. Adam was born in Des Moines, Iowa, September 26, 1988, the son of Jeffrey and Rita (Musick) Pettiecord. He graduated from Ankeny High School in 2007. He worked with his father and many family members at J. Pettiecord, Inc. as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. He loved riding his motorcycle and 4-wheelers. Adam was pure of heart. He loved spending time with kids. Adam never fell to the temptation of peer pressure of drinking, smoking or drugs. He wouldn't even take an aspirin, chew gum or drink pop. He liked hunting and fishing with his Mom and Grandpa. Adam had many friends that he would do anything for. Adam's life was cut so short. Adam will be missed by his parents: Jeff Pettiecord (Lisa Koeneman) of Des Moines, Iowa; Rita Korn (Randy) of Runnells, Iowa; his sister: Jill Pettiecord (Gary Real) of Des Moines, Iowa; grandparents: Lloyd and Connie Pettiecord; Peg and Gail Shutt; Coleen Musick, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was treasured by his girl friend, Ashlea Crosser. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bill Musick. Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
