Alicia Mae Stone, 32 of Nevada, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024, at home in Nevada.

Alicia was born November 5, 1991, in Ames, Iowa, the daughter of Gary Eugene and Cathy Sue (Sudduth) Stone. She graduated from Nevada High School and attended DMACC. Alicia had worked as a CNA at Windsor Manor in Nevada and most recently was working for Katecho in Des Moines as a forklift operator.

Alicia was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Nevada. She enjoyed drawing, painting, and listening to music. Alicia also enjoyed target shooting at the Izaak Walton League. She loved animals, especially her dog, and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Alicia is survived by her parents, Gary and Cathy of Nevada; her brothers, Chris Stone of Nevada and Austin (Tara) Stone of Nevada; and her nieces and nephews, Taylor, Gavin, Kaylee, Scarlett and Silas. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Robert and Nancy Stone, and her maternal grandparents, John and Barbara Sudduth.

A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery (1026 1st Street) in Nevada with Pastor Deb Copple officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Story County Animal Shelter in Nevada in memory of Alicia.
