Allan Donald Arent Sr., 63, of Nevada, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Allan was born December 17, 1952, in Racine, Wisconsin to Ralph Charles and Mary Ruth (Kobar) Arent. He graduated from William Horrlick High School in 1971 and attended Racine Technical Institute for one year. On May 8, 1998, he was united in marriage to Margaret Brink in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Allan retired from Sauer-Danfoss in 2009 after 36 years of service. Allan is survived by his wife, Margaret of Nevada; his children: Jenine (David) Wiegel, Allan Arent Jr., Amanda Herman, John Brodsko Arent, Tracy (Andy) Wilson and Jamie Brodsko Arent; his brothers: Lawrin, Melvin and Kevin Arent; his sister, Jacqeline Bennett and numerous grandchildren. Allan was preceded in death by his parents. Per his wishes, Allan has been cremated and no services are planned. Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
