Amy Lynn Crook, 63 of Ames, died Thursday, December 1, 2022, at her home in Ames.

Amy was born December 15, 1958, in Webster City, Iowa, the daughter of Virgil Lee and Irene Thesdosa (Edwards) Pruismann. She graduated from Ames High School in 1978 and had worked at the Gateway Hotel in Ames doing housekeeping. Amy was an avid Iowa State Cyclones fan, enjoyed collecting Mickey Mouse memorabilia and watching professional wrestling.

Amy is survived by her three girls; her significant other, Vernon Crook; her sister, Cindy Wagner; and her nieces and nephews: Christina (Miguel) DePrann, Christopher (Damizelle) Pruismann, Craig Pruismann, Kaitlynn (Oscar) Hernandez, Jason (Denise) Doerhoff and Stacy (James) Sannon. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Laury Doerhoff; and her brother, Eddy Pruismann.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00-5:00 pm Saturday, March 18, 2023 at The Pavilion at Score Park (1543 Fawcett Parkway) in Nevada, Iowa. The family will have a private burial at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Ames Municipal Cemetery (310 E 9th Street) in Ames, Iowa.
