Angela Irene Kabala, 65, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Friday, August 24, 2018, at her home. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, August 30 at Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 31 at the Maxwell United Methodist Church in Maxwell with Pastor Jerry Swanberg officiating. Burial will follow at the Maxwell Cemetery in Maxwell. Angela was born November 5, 1952, in Des Moines, the daughter of Fortunato and Irene (Brooks) Neglia. She graduated from Maxwell High School and from Drake University with a bachelor's degree in English. Angela attended the First Faith Church in Overland Park and participated in a bible study group at Christ Community Church in Overland Park. She enjoyed reading and was a member of the Women of Intrigue Book Club. Angela also enjoyed going on walks and visiting with others. Angela is survived by her children: Sarah Kabala of Overland Park, KS, David (Amber) Kabala of Overland Park, KS and Tony (Jinu) Kabala of Ames; and her grandchildren: Strider, Raiden and Willow. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Mary Sunday Antrim. Memorial contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Iowa, 1111 9th Street, Suite 370, Des Moines, IA 50314.
