DES MOINES - Ann McNamara, 75, of Des Moines, died at her home, December 27, 2007. Ann was born February 25, 1932, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Ed and Catherine (Ozmun) McNamara. She graduated from high school in Madison, Wisconsin. Ann had worked for the Meredith Publishing Corporation in Des Moines for over 40 years before retiring in the early 1990's. During her later years, Ann suffered from Parkinson's Disease. Ann is survived by several cousins and two long time care givers: Joyce Benham and Linda Sporrer. Ann was preceded in death by her parents. Ann's family express their gratitude to her neighbors and friends who have helped Ann in many different ways. Funeral services will be 2: 00 PM Monday at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Burial will be in the Collins Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to either the Hospice of Central Iowa or the Parkinson's Foundation. Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory in Nevada is handling arrangements.
