NEVADA - Annette Buschelman Fillian, 80, of Nevada died Saturday, July 9, 2005 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.
Annette was born October 3, 1924 at Fordyce, Nebraska, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Steffen) Buschelman. Annette was united in marriage to George Fillian on August 7, 1948. She is a veteran of WWII having served in the WACs. She attended Southwestern Community College where she earned her LPN. Annette retired in 1986 from the Creston Manor where she had served as a nurse. She moved to Nevada, Iowa in May of 2005 from Yuma, Arizona. She and George had also lived in Woodsville, New Hampshire and Creston, Iowa. Together, they attended many churches in their travels.
She is survived by her husband, George, of Nevada, Iowa; 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Frank (Fran) Fillian of Yuma, Arizona, Lee (Debbie) Fillian of Creston, Iowa; 4 daughters and sons-in-law: Beatrice (Leon) Hobbs of Claremont, New Hampshire, Suzanne (Daryl) Mendel of Ramona, California, Alice (Brian) Tibben of Nevada, Iowa; Christina (Steve) Potter of Marshalltown, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters: Lucille Aspen of Hastings, Nebraska, Bernice Buschelman of Fordyce, Nebraska and Mary Ann Barnes of Yankton, South Dakota.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers: Harold, Siegfried, Jerome; and a sister: Viola Schulte.
Funeral Mass will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Nevada. Following the Funeral Mass, a time of remembering and gathering will be held in church fellowship area.
Burial will be at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery in Woodsville, New Hampshire.
