Barbara (Miller) Stratton, 67, of Maxwell, passed away October 20, 2021 at home in Maxwell. Barbara was born in Jefferson on March 13, 1954 to Wayne and Ilo (Wetzel) Miller. She graduated from Ankeny High School in 1972 and attended DMACC Community College. Barbara was united in marriage to Alan Stratton on January 17, 1981. She worked for the Maxwell Community School District for almost 25 years and Center Stage Dance for 11 years. Barbara enjoyed the time she had with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed going out to eat with friends, reading, doing word search and puzzles. Barbara is survived by her husband, Alan of Maxwell; her children: Audrey (Craig) Beal of Nevada and Carl (Amanda) Stratton of Ankeny; her grandchildren: Cora Stratton, Jacob Stratton, Mia Beal, Eli Stratton, Harper Beal, Evelynn Beal and Allisyn Beal; one sister Phyllis (Alan) Sedore of Schleswig; two brothers: John (Karen) Miller of Cedar Falls, and Darrell Miller of Ankeny and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Wayne and Ilo Miller. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
