Barbara Howell Leslie, 98 of Nevada, died Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Story County Senior Care in Nevada. Barbara was born February 26, 1922, in LaGrange, IL the daughter of Frank and Lola Howell. She graduated from high school in Chicago and attended DePaul University for two years. Barbara worked many years for Haley Realty in Nevada. She was a member of the Nevada First United Methodist Church and the Nevada Chapter of P.E.O. and in her spare time, enjoyed cooking and playing bridge. Barbara is survived by her son, Scott (Terri) Leslie of Nevada; her grandchildren: Tyler (Nickie) Leslie, Colton Leslie, Christopher (Alyssa) Stout and Chase (Kaylee) Stout; and her great-grandchildren: Trenton Leslie, Atley Stout and Kimberley Leslie. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Michael Leslie; and one sister in infancy. Barbara has been cremated and no services are planned. Inurnment of cremated remains will be at the Iowa Veteran's Cemetery in Van Meter. Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
