Longtime Soldotna resident, Ms. Barbara Doloris Reed Trombley, 90, died Monday, November 27, 2023, at Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna, AK.
A visitation will be held 12-2 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada. A graveside service will follow at the Lincoln Township Cemetery in Zearing with Deacon Steve Van Kerckvoorde officiating.
Barb was born May 14, 1933, in Zearing, Iowa. She received her GED Education in Zearing, Iowa.
Barb moved to Soldotna, AK from Nebraska in 1989. She worked in Insurance Sales and with Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai, as Public Relations, from which she later retired. Barbara belonged to the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Soldotna, AK, and the Soldotna Senior Center. She loved Crafting, Fishing, Craft Shows, and enjoying time with Grandchildren when she could.
She is survived by her sons Douglas P. (Delores) Willcox of North Bend, NE and Jeffrey W. Willcox of Soldotna, AK; and daughter Alesya (Trombley) Thomson of Ritchfield, WA.
Trombley stepsons and stepdaughters: Dale II, Ruth, John, Jim, Rosemary, and Glen.
Her Grandchildren: Deborah Willcox, Danielle (Adam) Hunnel, Derrick (Rebecca) Willcox, Denise (Joshua) Eads, and Dustin Willcox, Zeke Leon Thomson, Zane Lee Thomson, and Zoey Ona LeeAnn Thomson.
Special Bradrick Granddaughters: Carrie Ellis and Wendy Jones.
Trombley Grandchildren: Bryan (Theresa) Trombley, Aaron (Sara) Trombley, Adam, Blake, Kody, Alexis, Christine, Rebecca, Alan, and Eric.
Her Great-Grandchildren: Alyssa Willcox, Brandon Hunnel, Courtney Hunnel, Rosalie Willcox, Raelynn Willcox, and Broden Eads.
15 special Trombley Great-Grandchildren; along with many other stepsons, stepdaughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edgar Hartwell and Wilma Mae (Botts) Reed, her sister Doris Whitaker, brother Wayne Reed, husband Dale Trombley (in 2014), and husband Keith (Brad) Bradrick (in 1991).
