Betty Mehlow, of Nevada, Iowa, died November 25, 2010, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa. A private family graveside service was held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 29th at the Story Memorial Garden Cemetery in Ames. Betty was born in Defiance, Iowa, the daughter of Ardee and Myrtle Helen (Davis) Henry. She was united in marriage to Eugene Carl Mehlow. He preceded her in death September, 1994. She is survived by two daughters: Christine Rose (Bill) of Boone, Iowa and Carolyn Bruce (Glenn) of Huxley, Iowa; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren Memorials may be given to any local Food Pantry of choice. Bacon Funeral Homes & Crematory is handling the arrangements.
