Beverly Jean Bowlin, 89 of Maxwell, died Monday, August 15, 2022, at State Center Specialty Care in State Center. Beverly was born August 12, 1933, in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of Carl Elwood and Leota (Harden) Nicodemus. On May 12, 1972, she was united in marriage to Gabe Junior Bowlin in Davenport. Beverly worked at many places including The Hen House, Sunstrand, 3-M, Prairie Meadows and the Maxwell Café. She enjoyed playing Bingo, knitting and traveling. Beverly also liked to shop and participated in bowling league. Beverly is survived by her husband, Gabe of Maxwell; her children, Dennis (Andee) Dolph, Carol Heaberlin, Larry Dolph, Ron (LaRae) Dolph and Robert (Catherine) Myers; her sister, Margaret (Don) Brown; her step-children, Tom (Shelly) Bowlin, Gabriel (Sean) Adams, Ron (Sharon) Bowlin and Mike (Kim) Bowlin; her grandchildren, Barry (Christina) Dolph, Christina Dolph, Jeremy (Audrey) Heaberlin, Nick Heaberlin, Amie Boylan, Nicholas (Whitney) Myers and Jonathan Myers; 10 step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Jack, Harold and Melvin Nicodemus. A funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2022, at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (422 First Street) in Maxwell with Pastor Tom Lee officiating. Family will greet friends beginning at 1 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at the Maxwell Cemetery in Maxwell.
