Brian Alvin Henze, 70 of Nevada, passed away in his sleep on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, in Nevada.

Brian was born January 8, 1953, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Alvin and Audrey (Dickson) Henze. He graduated from Nevada High School in 1971 and was a lifelong resident of Nevada. Brian never met a stranger. He was always telling jokes and laughing. Brian enjoyed spending time in the Henze timber with his family and friends.

Brian is survived by his daughters, Beth Henze-Smith of Slater and Kyla (Martin) Vitek of Grinnell; his grandchildren, Jack Thomas and Henry Vitek; his brother, Michael Henze of Nevada; his sisters, Kathy Gracey of Burlington, Marcia Romero of Douglassville, PA and Susie Lodestein of Nevada; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Joseph Alexander Henze and his parents, Alvin and Audrey Henze.

A celebration of Brian's life will be held Thursday, July 20th 2023, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at The Pavilion at Score Park (1543 Fawcett Parkway) in Nevada, Iowa.
