Brice Nelson, 16, of Nevada, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011, in Ames. Brice was born in Ames December 18, 1994, to John Nelson and Jean Haltom. He was sophomore at Nevada High School. Brice enjoyed skateboarding, video games and hanging out with his friends. Brice is survived by his parents John Nelson and Jean Haltom of Nevada; his grandparents, Norma and Donald Haltom of Ames and Stan and Rosemary Nelson of Springfield, MO; his uncles, Steve (Diane) Nelson of Indianola, Martin Haltom of Des Moines and Carl Haltom of St. Anthony; his girlfriend Leeann Wilkins of Ames; and an unborn son. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Memorial Lutheran Church, 701 11th Street in Nevada. Private burial will take place at Nevada Municipal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Brice.
