Obituary

Bryan J. Jensen, 26, of Ames, died Tuesday, April 29, 2008, from injuries of an automobile accident. Bryan was born in Ames, Iowa on February 17, 1982, the son of Bob and Cyndi (Radosevich) Jensen. He graduated from Nevada High School in 2000 and attended one year of college. He worked as a dispatcher for Kid Money Trucking. Bryan was active in high school FFA and was a former member of the Nevada Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed being with his friends, 4-wheeling, motorcycles, and cooking for "Food at First" at First United Methodist Church in Ames. Bryan enjoyed sarcasm and had a dry sense of humor. Bryan enjoyed giving of his time and was awarded the Ames "Youth Volunteer of the Year" Award in 2007. Bryan is survived by his father Bob J. Jensen (Penny) of Nevada; his mother, Cyndi Jensen of Nevada; one brother: Kelly Puffer of Princeton, Minnesota; two sisters: Angie (Chris) Hendricks of Longview, Texas, Cami (Jason) Oakes of Minneapolis, Minnesota; one step-brother: Jacob Western of Las Vegas, Nevada; one step-sister: Marcy McCully of Montana; paternal grandfather: Melvin Jensen of Winterset and maternal grandparents: Fred and Betty Radosevich of Ames; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Bryan was preceded in death by his brother: Bobby John Jensen, Jr. in 1981 and his grandmother: Ruby E. Jensen in 1990. Memorials may be given to the Pediatric Cardiac Unit at University Hospital in Iowa City.
