Carly Grace Morris, 13 of Nevada, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023, at the University of Iowa Stead Children's Hospital in Iowa City.

Carly was born December 31, 2009. Her parents always told her the whole world celebrates because she was a New Year's Eve baby. She was a 7th grader at Nevada Middle School. Carly was involved with Nevada FFA and the Richland Royals 4-H Club.

Carly had a true love of life and could light up a room with her smile. Her sarcasm, humor, wit and all her silly selfies will be remembered by everyone that knew her. Carly loved to spend time with her friends and making TikTok dances. She also loved animals, creating art, and taking photos especially of beautiful sunsets.

Carly enjoyed riding horses. She would never turn down a shopping trip, or Starbucks coffee drinks, and loved her Lululemon clothes. Carly was involved in softball, volleyball and basketball. She had been a part of a traveling basketball team since she was in 4th grade. She had a love of all types of music from Taylor Swift to Morgan Wallen to Michael Jackson to Adele.

Carly's memory will live on in her many relatives and friends. She was an organ donor and was able to help many people with her gift.

A visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at the Story County Fairgrounds Community Building (90 I Avenue) in Nevada. A celebration of Carly's life will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2023, at the same location. Please note, no burial or luncheon is planned.
