Carol Ann Lillebo, 79, of Ankeny, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019, at Rollin Green Village in Nevada. Carol was born July 18, 1940, in Boone, the daughter of Leon Wight and Gladys LeMaster. She graduated from United Community School in 1958 and was united in marriage to Jerome Bennett Lillebo at the First United Methodist Church in Boone on October 15, 1961. Carol worked as the Secretary at the First United Methodist Church in Boone from 1965 until 1981 and then went to work for Boone Property Management and Senholz Real Estate retiring in 1994. In her spare time, she enjoyed antiquing with her husband. Carol was blessed to watch her granddaughters at her "grandpa and grandma daycare" and wherever they moved Carol and Jerome would follow. Carol is survived by her husband, Jerome of Ankeny; her daughter, Angela Lillebo of Des Moines; her son, Michael Lillebo of Des Moines; her granddaughters: Grace Elizabeth Lillebo and Abby Renee Lillebo; and her sisters: Helen Johnson of Boone, Jane Zanker of Boone and Jean (Roy) VerSchuer of Denver CO. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Donald Wight and two sisters: Mildred Smith and Betty Koch. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
