COLLINS - Carol Ann Sager, 69, of Collins, died Friday, November 10, 2006 at the Taylor Hospice House in Des Moines. Carol was born May 5, 1937 at Mingo, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Margaret (Moreland) Hays. She graduated from Farrar High School in 1955. On June 5, 1955, she was united in marriage to Jerry Sager. Carol had worked at Homemakers, R.H. Donnelley Marketing, Patterson Supply and Blue Cross-Blue Shield. Carol enjoyed her family, grandkids, her cats, bird watching and playing Bingo. Carol is survived by her husband, Jerry, of Collins; 2 daughters: Julie (Frankie) Courter of Collins, Elizabeth Corbin of Altoona; 1 son: Steve Sager of Anamosa; 6 grandchildren: Gary Courter, Jerry Courter, Brandie Courter, Russell Blacksmith, Andrew Corbin, Joshua Corbin; 6 great-grandchildren;1 brother: Dale (Jean) Hays of Des Moines; and 1 sister: Doris (Bob) Viers of Madrid, Iowa. Her parents preceded Carol in death. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Tuesday at the Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell with Rev. Wilbur Morfitt officiating. Burial will be in the Collins Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30-8:00 PM Monday at the Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell. Memorials may be made to the Carol Sager Memorial fund.
