NEVADA - Charlotte Kay Buchholtz, 58, of Nevada, Iowa, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa. Charlotte was born May 18, 1949 in Hawarden, Iowa, the daughter of Jack and Florence (Kluver) Jones. She was united in marriage to Larry Buchholtz on August 31, 1969 at Hartley, Iowa. She had worked at Story County Title as an abstractor for 6 years until being diagnosed with cancer in April of 2007. Charlotte was extremely dedicated to her family. She enjoyed her son and his three children who she referred to as "my babies." She had great artistic talent and enjoyed painting and interior design. Charlotte enjoyed music and dancing. She managed to tie everything together with her great sense of humor. Charlotte is survived by her husband, Larry, of Nevada, Iowa; her son, Scott of Jamaica, Iowa; 3 grandchildren: Morgan, Cody and Sydney; her mother, Florence Jones of Hartley, Iowa; and 3 sisters: Virginia Burkhart of Fort Myers, Florida, Beverly McGuire of Laverne, Minnesota and Pamela Pierce of Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Charlotte's father, Jack Jones, preceded her in death. Memorial services will be 3:00 PM Saturday, July 7th at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada, Iowa. Visitation will be 6:30 - 8:00 PM Friday, July 6th at the Bacon Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Israel Family Hospice Home in Ames.
