Christine Lynne Buyck, 68 of Nevada, died Saturday, November 21, 2020, at Story Medical Center in Nevada. Christine was born May 5, 1952, in Peoria, IL, the daughter of Jackie Merlin and Mary Lotus (Agnew) Barker. She graduated from Richwoods High School in 1970 and was united in marriage to Richard George Buyck on August 11, 1973, in Peoria, IL. Christine worked for PHD Janitorial Services until her retirement in 2015. Christine enjoyed writing poetry and watercolor painting. More than anything, she loved to spend time with her family. Christine is survived by her daughters, Mindy (Nathan Barrett) Buyck of Nevada and Catherine Crauder (David Dechert) of Nevada; her grandchildren, Noah and Runa Barrett; and her brothers, Donnie (Lynn) Barker of East Peoria, IL, Richard (Cathy) Barker of Peoria, IL and Daryl Barker and his partner Scott Haines. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother-in-law (Jeff Oppe). Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
