Christopher "Chris" Charles Swalwell, 37 of Ames, passed away Friday, November 8, 2019, at MercyOne in Des Moines. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Monday, November 11 at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor David Burling officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Peoria Cemetery near Maxwell. Chris was born January 7, 1982, in Ames and was baptized at Peoria United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing video games, watching movies, fishing and drawing. Chris is survived by his mother, Nancy (Dave) Croker of Colo; his daughter, Natalie Swalwell; his stepbrother, Aaron (Cassie) Croker; his stepsister, Beth Croker and his step niece, Ayla Croker. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gene and Patricia Swalwell. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in memory of Chris.
