Charles "Chuck" Vincent Evans, 61 of Collins, died Friday, November 6, 2020, at his home near Collins. Chuck was born February 9, 1959, in Marshalltown the son of Earl Leonard and Darlene Fern (Haley) Evans. He graduated from Ankeny High School and had worked the last 40 years for Interstate Power Systems as a parts manager. Chuck married Ann Freund in 1982, they later divorced. On June 14, 2002, he was united in marriage to Brenda Gildersleeve in Nevada. He enjoyed fishing, spicy food (if he wasn't sweating it wasn't hot enough) and played guitar for many years in several different bands. Chuck is survived by his wife, Brenda of Collins; his mother, Darlene Evans of Ankeny; his daughter, Lindsay Evans of Nevada; his son, Adam Evans of Ames; his step-children: Sean (Rachel) Gildersleeve of Ames, Kasee (Ryan) Rasmussen of Nevada; Kylee (Jesse) Gaskill of Ames and Kirstee Gildersleeve of Gilbert; his grandchildren: Austyn and Patricia Mowery and Mara Rasmussen; his sister, Teresa (Chris) Evans-Winfield; and his brothers, John (Peg) Evans of Collins and Barry (Sue) Evans of Alleman. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, David Evans. A visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. on Monday, November 9 at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada.
