Clara Mary McCord, 101, of Colo, passed away Friday, June 5, 2015, at Story County Senior Care in Nevada. Clara was born May 26, 1914, in Carroll County, Iowa to John and Catherine (Hanig) Seidl. On August 10, 1942, she was united in marriage to Everett E. McCord in Omaha. Clara was a devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colo. She enjoyed working in her yard especially in her garden and flowers. Clara is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her siblings: Margaret Seidl, Anne Roderick-Von Bon, Sister Regina Seidl, Dorothy Rothmeyer, Lucille Greving, Sister Francis Xavier Seidl, Rita Smart, Evelyn Haubrich and John Seidl. Memorial Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colo with Father Rick Dagit officiating. Clara has donated her body to Des Moines University and burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Collins Memorial contributions may be made to Story County Senior Care in memory of Clara.
