Cody Dakota Haugen, 24, of Colo, Iowa, passed away February 14, 2024, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

Cody was born November 15, 1999, in Ames, Iowa, the son of Paul and Tammy (Davis) Haugen. He graduated from Collins-Maxwell High School in 2018. Cody had worked as a framer for Hickory Custom Carpentry for several years, and recently as grounds keeper for TMC Transportation.

Cody enjoyed tinkering with cars and building and fixing various things. He loved being with family, friends, and his cats.

Cody is survived by his father: Paul Haugen of Decorah, Iowa; his mother: Tammy Haugen (Brad Becvar) of Colo, Iowa; three brothers: Nick Welch of Des Moines, Iowa, Lance Haugen of Colo, Iowa, Paul J. Haugen of Decorah, Iowa; and a sister: Kylene Ellis(Haugen) of Ossian, Iowa.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, March 1, 2024, at the Maxwell Area Community Center in Maxwell, Iowa.

The Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada, Iowa is handling arrangements.
