Cole Jacob Carolus, (Mr.) 34 of Buckeye, died Friday, December 17, 2021, after a long brave battle with cancer.
Cole was born September 21, 1987, in Story City, the son of Jeffrey Mark Carolus and Mary Lou Sailer. His senior year of high school at Hubbard-Radcliffe, he spent a few hours a week working at Zoske's Sales and Service and after his graduation in 2006, he went to work full-time. In October of 2013, Cole took a job working for Iowa Falls Diesel. In his free time, he enjoyed playing pool and spending time at the drag strip. He attended many car shows and won several trophies. Cole also loved to ride his Harley-Davidson. He especially enjoyed the trips with his dad in the summer. Cole will be remembered for his loud pipes, his kindness, and always being available to help anyone.
Cole had a special spot for his nephews, Landon and Stetson. He was always there supporting their many activities.
Cole is survived by his dad, Jeff (Anita) Carolus; his mom, Mary Sailer; his sister, Jessica Carolus (Cody Sigler); his paternal grandma, Shirley Carolus; his nephews, Landon and Stetson Sigler; along with countless other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jacob and Mary Ann Sailer, and his paternal grandpa, Vern Carolus.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Buckeye. A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021, also at the church with Rev. Bill Traphagan officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Buckeye Cemetery. Casual dress is requested for the visitation and service.
