Colton Allen Smith passed away unexpectedly at his home in Nevada Iowa on July 7, 2026.

Colton was born alongside his twin brother Lucas in Des Moines, Iowa on August 2, 1995.

He is survived by parents Chantelle Johnson of Otsego, Minnesota and Tim Smith of Nevada, Iowa. He also has four other brothers. Mike Andresen, Drake Dejoode, Ethan Smith and Jordan Smith.

Colton also survived by his beloved daughter Izzabella.

Colton lived a simple life and loved being outdoors. He found enjoyment fishing alongside his cousin Kaleb. He listened to music daily as it was a great source to improve his mental health. He cherished his time with his daughter Izzy.

Professionally, Colton found fulfillment in the construction industry where he was able to gain skills while learning a trade. Most recently he discovered a passion to cook and serve others at a family-owned restaurant where he was publicly honored for his kindness to not only his fellow employees but customers who passed through.

Colton had been persevering in removing the obstacles that had been such a struggle for him in his adult life. He recently renewed his faith and tried his best to live a more positive way. He had many supporters throughout.

Colton had a magnetic personality, known for his quick wit and playful spirit. He was a prankster at heart always ready with a joke or comeback. His laughter and mischievous grin will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A celebration of life has been organized by his mother though social media. Another will be arranged by his Aunt Jenny.

As we say goodbye to Colton, we hold onto the countless memories shared with him and find comfort in knowing his spirit will live on in the laughter of his daughter and deeply in the hearts of those who loved him.

Cremation rites have taken place.
