Connie Hawbaker was born May 14, 1944 to Wilma Kimberley Bowers and Erville Bowers in Marshalltown, IA. Connie grew up on a farm near Collins, IA. After graduating from high school, she attended college for two years. She then went to Mercy College of Radiologic Technology in Des Moines, IA. Connie married Daniel Hawbaker on April 4, 1970 at Epworth United Methodist Church in Des Moines, IA. In December 1981, they moved to Oklahoma City and then to Edmond, OK in 1993. She is survived by her husband, Daniel of Edmond, OK; sister, Karol Waterhouse of Osceola, IA; 2 nieces; 1 nephew; 6 great nephews; and 1 great great nephew. Connie died March 29, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Sharon Thompson; and her grandparents, Opal and John I. Kimberley. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 5 at Peoria Cemetery near Maxwell. Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home in Maxwell is handling arrangements.
