Connie J. McFadden, 68 of Nevada, died Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Connie was born in Eldora, Iowa, on February 25,1954 the daughter of Clyde and Shirley (Pauley) Ball. She grew up in Ames and met her husband, Calvin, in 1976. Together they proceeded to create a home full of love and care. Connie always said her greatest accomplishment was her family and she lived by that belief every day. She was reliable, kind, and constantly willing to give more than she had. She enjoyed music, especially country oldies and Blake Shelton, baking, birdwatching, and reading. Connie is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Calvin, her three children, Shawn McFadden, Michelle (Corey) Merrigan and Jennifer (Josh) McFadden, and 9 grandchildren, Darian, Kaleb, Keirra, Quillan, Bailee, Jaxon, Ellah, Aliya and Liam. She was preceded in death by her mother and father. A visitation will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mike Carey officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
