Obituary

Coral Inez Myers, affectionately known to many as "Coco", passed away at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the age of 92. She was born in Maxwell, IA on October 14, 1931, to Glen and Ethel (Cleverley) Robertson. Coral was a 1949 graduate of Maxwell High School. She was a lifelong resident of Maxwell and a member of the Maxwell Methodist Church.

Coral was united in marriage to Orval Donald "Don" Myers on December 12, 1951, at the Maxwell Christian Church in Maxwell. Her career spanned over 50 years as a legal secretary at Miller and Lorang Law Office and at Jordening Law Office in Nevada until May of this year when her health began to fail. Coral enjoyed word search puzzles and watching Wheel of Fortune. She will be fondly remembered for her vibrant personality and outlook on life.

Coral is survived by her son Dennis (Karen) Myers of Nevada and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Don; her sons Ronnie Lynn Myers and Donald Alan "Butch" Myers; her twin sister Carol Pritchard; her sisters Lois Pyle and Donna Andersen; and her brother Lowell Robertson.

A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2024, at Woodland Cemetery in Iowa Center, Iowa with Pastor Robert Bacon officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband and two children.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Maxwell Methodist Church in Maxwell.
