Craig Dwayne Myers, 65, of Nevada was born in Ames on January 3, 1951, the son of Dwyane and Lois (Ayers) Myers. A lifelong resident of Nevada, Craig graduated from Nevada High School in 1969 and was united in marriage to Cynthia Cribbs on June 17, 1977. Their daughter, Sarah Elizabeth was born in Ames on October 14, 1982. Craig died Friday morning, September 23, 2016 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Craig is survived by his wife, Cynthia of Nevada; his daughter, Sarah (Brent) Arndt of Park River, North Dakota; his niece, Doddy Schoep of Grimes; an d his uncles: Dale (Bonnie) Knutson of Ankeny and Gary Knutson of Nevada. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Sally Schoep of Marshalltown. Craig has been cremated and private inurnment of cremated remains will be at a later date at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery in Nevada. Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
