Dana Emery, 55 of Kelley, Iowa passed from this life on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames after a long battle with cqncer. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 8, 10:00 AM at Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory in Nevada. Visitation will be Friday, December 7 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Dana was born February 25, 1952 in Des Moines, IA to Elwin and Barbara (Bolt) Flinn. He graduated from Woodward High School in 1970. He married Sandra Engelman on July 13, 1991 in Kelley. Dana was a self employed carpenter and enjoyed listening to talk radio. His passion was his Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He could never have enough of them. Dana is survived and will be missed greatly by his wife, Sandra; two sons: Benjamin (Teresa) Engelman of Aurora, CO and Aaron (Jackie) Engelman of Okinawa, Japan; a daughter, Jessie Engelman of Central Valley, NY; his mother and step father, Barbara and Vic Giebelstein of Casa Grande, AZ; four brothers: Jon Emery of Ames, Iowa; Todd Emery of Gilbert, Iowa; Bob Emery of Tucson, AZ; Terry Emery of Nevada, Iowa; one step sister, Bev Larson of Texas; two step brothers: Jerry Giebelstein of Ames, IA and Andy Giebelstein of Des Moines, Iowa, and one grandchild, Taylor Engelman. Preceding Dana in death was his father, Elwin Flinn.
