David Ross Long, 74, of Nevada, formerly of Fort Dodge, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. David was born May 7, 1938, to Stanley Ross and Bernice Lucille (Hallet) Long. David is survived by his brother, Jerry (Wanda) Long of Ankeny; and his sisters, Doris (Dean) Fenton of Edmonton, Alberta Canada, Carol Minnehan of Denver, Colorado, and Jean Long of Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Reverend Stanley Long and William "Bill" Long. David has been cremated and no services are planned. Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
