Dawn Peel, 57 of Nevada Iowa died of complications due to long-term health issues. She is survived by daughter Mindy Cheek (Shane Fenske) and granddaughter Piper Fenske of Minnesota, granddaughter Bailey Mussell of Minnesota, son Troy Cheek (Steph) and grandson T.J. and granddaughter Oakleigh of Iowa, sister Nikki Peel and niece Leah Samec (Cody) of Des Moines, brother Scott Peel of Waukee, aunts, uncles, and friends. She was preceded in death by a daughter Melissa Peel, father Marty Peel, mother Linda Peel, many grandparents, a few cousins, and a few great aunts and uncles. Dawn did not want anything big but a gathering of some kind will be held at a later date when time permits and weather is good.
