Deborah "Deb" Louise Hardy, 69 of Ames, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Story Medical Center in Nevada.

Deb was born March 22, 1956, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Louis Frank and Geraldine "Gerry" Louise (Lunde) Melton. She graduated from Nevada High School in 1974 and was united in marriage to Rob Hardy on April 10, 1991. Deb enjoyed word search, crossword puzzles, and watching her soap operas. She was a loyal NASCAR fan and followed her favorite drivers, Jeff Gordon and Chase Elliott.

Deb is survived by her daughters, Stacie Kirby-Jackson and Crystal Hinders; her grandchildren, Chevy Jackson and Gauge (Ezra) Jackson; her great-grandchildren, Kashton Jackson and Aurora Jackson; her brother, Dennis (Bonnie) Melton and her sister, Darla (Gary) Ingham. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her sister, DeAnn Potter.

Deb has been cremated, and no services are planned at this time.
